Havana, Apr 16.- The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), stated today that between 1990 and 2014 the Caribbean witnessed 182 major natural disasters, which affected more than 11.5 million people.
These phenomena caused 241,000 deaths and 16,600 million USD in damages and losses, with a serious impact on fisheries, agriculture, forests and food security, according to the international quoted by its office in Havana.
